Youth’s Body Found In Abandoned Well In Nuapada, Murder Suspected

Nuapada: The body of a youth was recovered from an abandoned well near Bhuliasikuan village, under the jurisdiction of Khariar Police Station in Nuapada district, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ratha Meher, a resident of Belpada village under Bangomunda Police Station limits.

According to reports, the youth had been missing for the past few days. This morning, some locals spotted the body floating in the water inside the abandoned well near Bhuliasikuan village. They immediately informed the police.

It is suspected that Ratha was murdered, and his body was later dumped in the well.

Upon being informed, Khariar police and Fire Service personnel reached the spot and retrieved the body from the well. The police later seized the body and sent it to the sub-divisional hospital in Khariar for an autopsy.
