Dhenkanal: A 17-year-old girl who is presently pursuing her graduation has caught the attention of many by selling tea in front of the Collector office in Dhenkanal district.
“I don’t care what anyone says, I wanted to do business, stand on my own feet, and study to become an IAS officer,” says Subhalakshmi Parida who sets up her shop every evening.
A resident of Siminai village in Odapada block of the district, Subhalakshmi is the daughter of a daily wage earner. Since the financial condition of her family is not good, she is constantly aspiring to achieve something in life.
She had hopes from her childhood to start her own business when she grows up and study with her own money. She has taken a step towards her dream by selling organic tea. She prepares tea by using rose petals, ginger, and various types of spices.
The residents of Dhenkanal have praised Subhalakshmi for such a feat and wished her a bright future.
