Phulbani: On Engineer’s Day, these simple villagers of Kandhamal proved that one can get inventive through sheer hard work, dedication and simple use of knowledge.
The Badimaha village under Raikia block had been devoid of supply of drinking water for years now. The water from fields was found to be impure and hence unusable. This village consisting of 16 families had been repeatedly asking the local administration for the same but no avail.
Finally, after all the options ran out, these people came together and decided to direct the stream water to their village. In a matter of just four days, the water connectivity was achieved by use of bamboos. And now drinking water is easily available for these indigenously smart villagers.
