Balasore: Love knows no bounds or reason. It is a union of hearts which essentially is not dependent on conditions. A marriage of a young couple held in the district is a testimony to divinity of love.
The marriage was solemnised between Saroj Behera of Khaira in Balasore district (22) and Raimati Rana (20) of Bagamunda village in Bolangir district.
Both the Behera and Rana are visually impaired, but often love itself is blind. So, blindness was no impediment for this ‘wonder couple’, to fall for each other.
The duo met at a programme while Behera was a student of Ravenshaw Junior College in Cuttack and Rana was studying in RD Women’s College in Bhubaneswar.
Cupid struck at first ‘sight’ and they fell in love. Their relation was blessed today as Rana and Behera tied the knot at the latter’s native in Basandhipur village under Achyutipur Panchayat in Khaira block.
The ceremony was organised in Maa Baulasuni Temple in Siripur. The family members were delighted with the decision of their children to get married.
“The two young lovebirds began their journey as a couple with the blessings of the Goddess. We are very happy with their decision and this special marriage,” the elderly people of the village said.
