Malkangiri: A college student from the Bonda tribe of Malkangiri district of Odisha has made the district and the State proud by successfully completing a paramilitary training organised by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Uttar Pradesh.
Lakinath Kirsani, a native of Parkanmala is pursuing his +3 final year at Malkangiri College and is a part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). He was one among the 40 cadets selected from all over India for the 15-day long paramilitary training.
The training is organised every two years. Tthe training was held at Army Airborne Training School, Agra. During the training Kirsani completed the daring feat of paragliding at a height of 1200 feat by jumping out from an AN-32 aircraft.
Kirsani completed his training on November 23. He expressed his happiness for receiving such a training. After returning from the training he was felicitated at Malkangiri College by the Principal and authorities of the district administration.
