Bhubaneswar: The district police of Nuapada facilitated the wedding ceremony of two former Maoists on Wednesday. The ex-Maoist-duo, Rahul Musaki alias Pintu and Dalmati Kamar alias Madhuri tied the nupital knot in a ceremony held at the Reserve police ground in Nuapada today.
Pintu, a native of Sukma in Chhattisgarh was an active member of the outlawed CPI (Maoist), in the Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division. He had surrendered before Kandhamal SP in September 2021.
Similarly, Madhuri belongs to Kundaenjharia village under Sinapali police limits in Nuapada district. She was active in Sinapali area and had surrendered in 2018 before Nuapada SP.
Nuapada Police took all the responsibility and arranged the marriage ceremony as per Hindu rituals as per their parents’ wishes at the Reserve Police Office in Nuapada today. The couple will be rehabilitated in due course as per the provisions of the State Government.
“Its an appeal to all Maoists to shun violence and enter mainstream to work together for nation’s progress,” the district police stated.
