**Bhubaneswar:** President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a two-day visit to Odisha from Saturday, during which he is scheduled to grace several occasions in the State. It will be Kovind’s first official visit to the state after his election as President.
The President will land at the Bhubaneswar airport on Saturday morning, where he will be received by Governor S.C. Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He will be accorded Guard of Honour at the airport by 150 police officers, informed YB Khurania, Police Commissioner, Twin City.
After that, Kovind will travel to Cuttack, where he will visit the Netaji Birthplace Museum at Odia Bazaar. Then he will dedicate Anand Bhawan, the house of former chief minister Biju Patnaik that has been converted into a museum and learning centre at Tulasipur to the people of Odisha.
On the same day, he will also deliver a lecture at the foundation day celebrations of the National Law University in Cuttack. Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, Governor SC Jamir, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will attend the function.
The President will then leave for Puri on Saturday night for a stay. On Sunday, Kovind will visit the Shri Jagannath temple and will then proceed to inaugurate the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan’s centenary celebrations in Puri.
He will travel back to Bhubaneswar to attend the 6th annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) here on Sunday.
Further, he will lay the foundation stone of the Skill Development India Centre and inaugurate the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and the Indian Oil Odisha campus in the city.
