Bhubaneswar: Popular and addictive online mobile game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) might be banned in Gujarat because of harmful and negative effects.
According to reports, the State Government has taken various steps to ban the game. Surat district administration on Thursday has already imposed a ban on PUBG. The decision was taken due to an increase in violent behaviour among children as well as youth. The students were also found performing poorly in studies because of their addiction to the game.
A recommendation has also been issued by Jagruti Pandya, Chairperson of Gujarat Child rights body, to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in order to ban the game in the entire state.
