Olympics: India Beat Ireland 1-0 In Women’s Hockey

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Women’s Hockey Team netted a goal at the 57th minute of its match against Ireland to secure its first win at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday.

After a barren first half and a whole host of penalty corners throughout the game, Navneet scored off by deflecting a shot from Rani Rampal at the 57th minute.

India is currently placed fifth in Pool A with one win and three losses after four games. India’s next game is against South Africa while Ireland has to face Great Britain.
