Bhubaneswar: With his hunger for runs, current Indian cricketing sensation Virat Kohli might break Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar's record of most ODI centuries.
In an interview to Times of India, this revelation was made by Munish Bali, the assistant coach of India's U-19 World Cup-winning team of 2008. Having observed Kohli from his early days in cricket, Bali believes that the 30-year-old has taken his game to another level by undergoing a fitness transformation and maintaining consistency in his performance.
"The way he is going, he can break Tendulkar's ODI centuries record. One thing I would say about Virat is he has changed the face of cricket," Bali said.
It is notable to mention here that Kohli was named the ICC Cricketer of the Year along with the ICC ODI and Test cricketer of the year. While Kohli has already overtaken Sachin in 2018 to become the fastest to score 10,000 ODI runs, he is all set to break the legend’s record of most ODI centuries. While Sachin Tendulkar, considered God of Indian Cricket, has a record of 49 ODI centuries, Kohli already has 39 ODI centuries to his name from 214 innings.
