Sonepur Police Rescue Kidnapped Child In Puri After 30-Hour Ordeal

Bhubaneswar: A 30-hour drama came to an end when the Sonepur police successfully rescued a kidnapped child from Puri.

According to reports, Shradhakar Nayak’s son Ayush was abducted from Sonepur’s Patabadi area on Sunday evening while playing outside his home. The kidnapper had threatened to harm the child if Rs 20 lakh was not arranged and handed over by 11 am on Monday. The kidnappers threatened to harm the child if the police were informed.

The child’s father, Shradhakar, had lodged a complaint with the Sonepur police following which a a special team was formed to investigate the case. The police worked tirelessly to track down the kidnappers and rescue the child.

After a tense 30-hour ordeal, the police finally tracked down the kidnappers and rescued Ayush in Puri. However, the kidnappers managed to escape, fearing arrest. The police are now working to nab the kidnappers.
