**Bhubaneswar:** Ten days after Pulwama attack that claimed lives of over 40 CRPF jawans, Indian Air Force attacked Balakot across the Line of Control to decimate a terror camp.
5:00 pm- India has apprised the envoys of all major countries including US, Russia, China, France and the UK about its air strike on the Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) biggest terror training camp. Envoys of Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Turkey and Indonesia were also briefed about the air strike, state reports.
4:45 pm- Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said international media to be taken to the area of strikes as soon the weather permits.
3:30 pm- High alert sounded along Gujarat borders with Pakistan
3:00 pm- Reportedly, Pakistan will raise the issue of India’s “violation” of the Line of Control (LoC) at the United Nations and other international forums. Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has summoned a special meeting tomorrow. He has directed that elements of national power including the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan to remain prepared for all eventualities.
2:55 pm- Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti bats for peace. She tweets, “If my aversion to unnecessary retaliation & subsequent war makes gullible people question my nationalism then so be it. I would rather bat for peace & save lives than sacrifice countless ones just to satisfy collective egos and misplaced sense of pride & patriotism.”

2:30 pm- Ammunition dump blown up today in Balakot, Pakistan by IAF Mirages. The dump had more than 200 AK rifles, uncountable rounds hand grenades, explosives and detonators, says news agency.

12:30 pm- ANI reports that Indian Army has shot down a Pakistani spy drone in Abdasa village, in Kutch, Gujarat.
12:15 pm- Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said, “I will call it a grave aggression. We had warned the world that such an act can take place. Today they (India) carried out this misadventure against Pakistan. This is a violation of the Line of Control. Pakistan reserves the right to an adequate response and a right to self defence.”
12 pm- Tawab Ghorzang, former director at Afghanistan’s National Security Council, praises the Indian Air Force for strike in Balakot. “The area has been known to have the so-called Jihadi Training Camps since era of Zia-ul-Haq,” he tweeted.
11:55 am- Sources said that a day after Pulwama, the air chief had proposed an air strike and aerial recce was done to identify locations.
11:45 am- Vijay Gokhale says, “It was also selected to avoid civilian casualties. It is in a thick forested area.”
11:40 am- Vijay Gokhale informed that many JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders were eliminated as the largest JeM camp in Balakot was targeted by IAF. Camp was led by Maulana Yusuf Azhar alias Ustad Ghauri, brother in law of JeM chief Masood Azhar.

9:40 am- According to a report in Karachi-based newspaper Dawn, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has summoned emergency meeting to review the situation.
9:35 am- According to news agency ANI, terror launch pads across LoC in Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad have completely been destroyed in IAF air strikes. JeM control rooms have also destroyed.
9:30 am- Reacting to the strikes, former J&K CM Omar Abdullah tweeted, “Wow, if this is true this was not a small strike by any stretch of imagination”
9:25 am- According to reports, PM Modi has been briefed by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
9:20 am- BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has called the strike “self-defence”
9:15 am- The Indian government is yet to respond to the development.
9:10 am- Sources state that 200-300 casualties from Pakistan side. Meanwhile Ghafoor claims no casualty. “The payload was dropped in haste by IAF as Pakistan Air Force was immediately scrambled,” tweets Ghafoor.
9:05 am- Reports claimed that the IAF strike was carried out by a group of 12 Mirage 2000 fighters at around 3.30 a.m.
9:00 am- Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asif Ghafoor tweeted early Tuesday and Radio Pakistan claimed that the IAF planes dropped payload across LoC in Balakot.
