Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rainfall in 22 districts with heavy to very heavy spells at one or two places in five districts during the next 24 hours.
The IMD has issued an ‘Orange’ warning indicating that one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Deogarh and Sundargarh districts are very likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) during the next 24 hours.
Similarly, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Sonepur, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Bolangir during the same period. The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow’ warning for these districts.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in most places over the districts of Odisha, the weather agency has said.
