Bhubaneswar: Spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya expressed his devotion to Lord Jagannath during the 2025 Rath Yatra, calling him divine and highlighting the significance of his ‘darshan’ for devotees.
He shared his positive experience after attending the event, saying, “Lord Jagannath is divine and comes out of the temple to give ‘darshan’ to the devotees… I felt really good after his darshan.” He extended his blessings to all devotees who attended the Rath Yatra.
However, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya sparked controversy with his comments on the Digha Jagannath Temple. He questioned the need for temples in Bengal, particularly in Digha, given the presence of Nilachal and the ocean. “What is the point of having temples in Bengal, Nilachal is here, the ocean is here, it is just a lie,” he remarked, suggesting that such temples might be unnecessary and deceptive.
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya is a prominent spiritual leader known for his contributions to Hinduism and his founding of the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University
