Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets (DA) worth lakhs of rupees during simultaneous house searches so far at eight locations linked to Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Athagarh in Odisha’s Cuttack district, on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued by Odisha Vigilance, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sahu and his family members:
- A building at Bhalibadi near Old PS in Khordha district.
- Another building at Raj Sunakhala in Nayagarh district.
- One flat (No 6, 2nd floor, Shree Enclave) in Gautam Nagar in Bhubaneswar.
- Three plots in Khordha and Raj Sunakhala in Nayagarh district.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flats/Plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing. In addition, cash to the tune of Rs 6 lakh, gold jewellery weighing approx 300 gms, and silver ornaments weighing approx 500 gms during the house searches.
Bank, postal, insurance, and other deposits are under verification, the release said. The Vigilance team also unearthed one four-wheeler and four two-wheelers.
The searches are still underway and a detailed report is awaited.
