Bhubaneswar: Iran launched a barrage of missiles towards Israel just hours after White House officials warned that Tehran was planning an imminent attack.
According to international media reports, the assault began shortly after 7:30 PM, with dozens of missiles visible in the skies over Jerusalem, heading toward Israel’s coastal cities.
The rockets, clearly seen with their engines burning, continued toward the coast and central Israel, where distant explosions could be heard.
Moments later, a second wave of missiles, appearing to come from a different direction, illuminated the night sky with flashes from aerial interceptions and loud booms echoing across the city.
Tehran had vowed retaliation against Israel for its series of attacks on Iranian interests and militias, including Hezbollah, across the Middle East.
The White House had earlier issued a warning that it had intelligence indicating Iran was preparing to launch a ballistic missile strike against Israel.
The situation remains tense as Israel braces for further escalation.
