Bhubaneswar: Russia’s offensive in Ukraine has entered the 14th day on Wednesday. Russian troops advancing towards Kyiv in the north of Ukraine have been slowed down by attacks from Ukrainian forces and hampered by serious logistical problems.
Kremlin said that humanitarian corridors will be allowed for the movement of civilians. However, Moscow has been accused of violating its own ceasefire agreement over the last few days.
Russia launched its attack in the early hours of 24 February from three main directions: north, south and east. Here are the latest developments in the ongoing armed conflict:
- Global brands like McDonald’s, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and General Electric have announced that they are temporarily suspending their business in Russia in response to the its invasion of Ukraine;
- Economic sanctions against Russia, historic. This caused the Russian economy to crater. The Ruble is now down 50 per cent and worth less than one American penny since Putin announced his war: Joe Biden;
