Bhubaneswar: Russia’s war in Ukraine, now in its 26th day, shows no signs of abating. The invasion has wreaked devastation and destruction, exacting a heavy toll on civilians. The UN says more than 3.38 million people have fled Ukraine.

  22. At least six people were killed in an overnight bombing on a shopping centre in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv;
  23. Central govt tells Supreme Court that Govt of India has evacuated 22,500 students and Indian nationals from Ukraine and a mammoth task has been completed;
  24. The Sumykhimprom plant is on the eastern outskirts of the city, which has a population of about 263,000 and has been regularly shelled by Russian troops in recent weeks;
  25. China’s ambassador to the US says his country is not sending weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine, but he does not definitively rule out the possibility Beijing might do so in the future;
  26. US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin says that even if Russia is using such weapons, they are not a “game changer” in the war;
  27. Russia uses hypersonic weapons as Ukraine war enters bloodier phase;
  28. Mortal remains of a medical student from Karnataka, who was killed in Russian shelling in war-torn Ukraine, arrived at Bengaluru airport on Monday;
