**London: ** United Kingdom (UK) Westminster Magistrates’ Court today ordered for the extradition of former liquor baron Vijay Mallya to India and the judgemnet has been welcomed by India’s premier investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Following such a verdict pronounced by the UK Court, Mallya has now 14 days time to appeal against the extradition order before the UK Secretary of State
After the UK Secretary of State endorses the Court’s verdict, Mallya, will be extradited back to India on alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to Rs 9,000 crore.
Mallya has previously refuted the allegations and has offered to pay back the principal amount in full. This was revealed through a series of tweets.
