Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths have unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees belonging to Biswajit Mohapatra, Additional District Magistrate, Sundargarh.
The Vigilance has so far unearthed, the following assets.
1.) Cash over Rs 3 lakhs recovered so far.
2.) One double-storied building at Naharkanta, Bhubaneswar worth about Rs 89 lakhs.
3.) One flat at Asiana, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
4.) Fixed deposits over Rs 1 crore which is under verification. More amount likely in multiple savings bank accounts, which is being verified.
Steps have been taken to seal Locker and freeze Bank Accounts.
5.) 10 PLOTS IN BBSR AND JAGATSINGHPUR. Details as under;
i. Plot located at Naharkanta College Road, P.S.- Balianta, Bhubaneswar, Dist- Khurda measuring area 5000 sqft. approx.
ii. Plot bearing No. 335/413, Mouza Johala, Balianta, Bhubaneswar measuring Area A0.850 decimals.
iii. Plot bearing No. 691/2704, Khata No. 384/553, Mouza- Uttamundmuhan, Jatani, Khurda measuring Area A0.930 decimals.
iv. Plot bearing No. 279, Khata No. 285/111, Mouza-Barti, Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.77 decimals.
v. Plot bearing No. 122, Khata No. 186, Mouza-Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.14 decimals.
vi. Plot bearing No. 169, Khata No. 405/54 Mouza-Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.06 decimals.
vii. Plot bearing No. 217, Khata No. 335, Mouza- Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.37 decimals
viii. Plot bearing No. 1061, Khata No. 244, Mouza- Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.41 decimals.
ix & x. 2 Plots bearing No. 838 and 839, Khata No. 1022/25, Mouza- Redhua, Dist- Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.03 decimals.
Meanwhile, the verification and valuation of plots are underway and the searches continue.
Earlier today, following allegations of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income against Mohapatra, separate teams of Odisha Vigilance comprising of 8 DSPs, 2 Inspectors, 5 ASIs, and other staff, had conducted raids on the houses and property associated with him.
