Nuapada: Over 20 migrant labourers hailing from Chandel village under Khariar block in Nuapada district have been allegedly tortured and held hostage by a brick kiln owner in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
These migrant labourers which include women have released a video in which they have alleged that they are being tortured and held hostage by a brick kiln owner in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
They have alleged that they are made to work on their weekly off days and on refusal they are thrashed by the kiln owner’s men. Especially, women are subjected to severe thrashing.
These labourers have further alleged that they are not being provided with food and drink.
They have appealed for help to secure their release from the clutches of the brick kiln owner.
