Paradip: Over 15 persons have been injured after being attacked by a monkey at Mangrajpur panchayat under Kujang block of Jagatsinghpur district.
Reportedly, a monkey who is part of a 12-member troop has been attacking both people and cattle in the panchayat for the last eight days.
Among the persons injured in the monkey attack, six were admitted to the district headquarters hospital from where two were shifted to Cuttack.
After people lodged a complaint in this regard at Kujang forest range office, a special team arrived from Bhubaneswar to tranquilise the monkey.
