Bhubaneswar: At least four persons were killed due to lightning across Odisha in the last 24 hours. While four persons died during the last 24 hours, persons were reportedly killed while two others suffered injuries in lightning at separate places across the state during the last 24hours.
A lightning death was reported from Pansadiha in Anandpur of Keonjhar district early on Sunday morning. Two other, critically injured, are undergoing treatment at Thakurmunda hospital. In another incident, a person was killed in a lightning strike near a jetty at Nairi village in Chilika today morning.
On Saturday, one Budhu Kisan was killed in Kalosihiria in Kuanrmunda (Sundargarh) after being struck by lightning. Similarly, a 60-year-old man died due to lightning in Kadapani area of Nuagaon block last evening.
