Bhubaneswar: First phase polls to elect the Members of the Committees of the 731 Primary Co-operative Societies in the State will be held tomorrow. Out of these 731 Primary Co-operative Societies, 244 have been identified as sensitive said an official.
Extensive arrangements including installation of CCTV cameras, deployment of magistrates, and armed police force have been made at polling booths for these sensitive Primary Co-operative Societies.
For smooth and disciplined conduct of polls 19 sub-registrars, and 58 assistant registrars have been deployed.
Polling will take place from 7.00 AM till 4.00 PM. A total of 4,53,610 voters will cast their franchise.
Similarly, on June 26 polling will be held on the second day of the first phase polls.
Out of the 3,252 primary cooperative societies, members of 2,521 have been elected unopposed.
