Bhubaneswar: Talking of Leadership, what better day than Independence Day to induct the newly elected Student Council members of SAI International Residential School (SIRS), in the profound presence of Chief Guest, Pinak Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cuttack, Chairperson, SAI International, Dr Silpi Sahoo.
The Investiture Ceremony began with Sai Vandana followed by the Chairperson welcoming the esteemed guest for the evening of August 15, 2022.
Student Council members and various office bearers of different Clubs were inducted into the office with badges and sashes. Abhay Raj Vedi and Saniya Mazumdar were inducted as Head Boy and the Head Girl of SIRS respectively.
The Head Boy and Head Girl in their speeches highlighted the importance of dedication, hard work, responsibility, and vigilance to carry forward the important roles bestowed upon each member.
The Team also took an oath to deliver their duties with great responsibility and diligence and to faithfully carry the baton and the legacy of Founder-Chairman Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo.
Chief Guest Pinak Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police Cuttack enlightened the SAIoneers on the role of police in society. He highlighted the importance of Law and order and how the Police keep a tab on criminal activities. He also invited students to join the police force and serve the nation.
“Leadership is all about dedication, devotion, and diligence in performing one’s duties and holding the flag responsibly. SIRS is not just any other school but a home away from home, which instils the leadership skills along with other 21st century skills in students”, said Chairperson, SAI International Education Group Dr Silpi Sahoo at the Investiture ceremony of SIRS.
August 15, 2022, 75 years of India’s Independence was a day of real festivities at SIRS. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated with great grandeur and magnificence in the School premise.
Chief Guest Pansare Abhishek Sudam, Deputy Commandant of Karavela Regional Training Centre (CISF), Mundali hoisted the National tricolour in the campus as he inspected the guard of honour and witnessed the parade of SAIoneers. To commemorate the 75 years of independence SAIoneers put up a stupendous, colourful cultural programme.
