Angul: Four pilgrims from Odisha were killed after the bus they were travelling in met with an accident near Katkamsandi in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand in the wee hours of Sunday.
Two of the deceased were reportedly from Balasore and the other two were identified as Manu Behera and Menaka Pradhan from Angul.
As per sources, the bus carrying about 55 passengers from Odisha had started its journey 15 days back. It was returning after visiting several pilgrim sites in Uttarakhand and Bihar when it met with an accident with a fruit-laden truck in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh.
As a result, about 35 passengers on the bus were seriously injured and four died. Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan discussed with the local administration the modalities to bring back the bodies of the deceased persons after post-mortem.
