Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a young woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Mahanadi near Deer Park in Cuttack today.
According to reports, sighting the young woman suddenly jump into river Mahanadi, locals immediately informed the Fire Brigade.
Fire Service personnel rescued the young woman from the river and rushed her to SCB Medical College & Hospital. However, she was declared dead by the attending doctors at the hospital.
While the identity of the deceased young woman has not been established, the reason behind her taking the extreme step is not known.
