Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condemned the attack on Health Minister Naba Kisore Das.
In a statement, the CM said: “I am shocked at the unfortunate incident of attack on honourable minister Shri Naba Das. I strongly condemn the attack on him. I pray for his early recovery.”
“Crime branch has been directed to take up the investigation of the case . Senior officers of crime branch have been asked to go to the spot,” the CM added.
Das has been ailifted from Jharsuguda and is slated to land in Bhubaneswar at around 2:55 pm. A team of doctors along with an advanced life support ambulance have been stationed at Bhubaneswar airport.
Senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal, Niranjan Pujari, Pratap Jena, Pranab Prakash Das, Susant Singh, Snehangini Churia, Rohit Pujari, Sudhir Samal and Prasant Rout among others are present at Biju Patnaik International Airport to facilitate Das’ transfer to Apollo Hospital here.
