Young Woman Commits Suicide In Balasore

Balasore: A young woman from Nilagiri area of Balasore district allegedly committed suicide after an argument with a person she was in contact with.

The deceased has been identified as Sita Singh. She had been working at a stone quarry in the Mahumuhan area under Soro police station for a few years.

According to reports, Sita was in contact with a young man through her mobile phone and had an argument with him over an unknown issue on Thursday. Following the argument, she attempted to harm herself by cutting her hand with a blade and even took photos of it. Later, she allegedly hanged herself.

Locals found her and rushed her to Soro Hospital, where she was declared dead. Police have seized the body and are investigating the matter.
