Bhubaneswar: Cupid has struck two IAS officers in Odisha and they got engaged at a simple ceremony here on Sunday.
According to sources, Sambalpur Collector Ananya Das and Bolangir Collector Chanchal Rana exchanged rings in the presence of their family members and friends at the former’s residence on Sunday and are expected to tie the knot soon. cuan128
It will be the second marriage for Ananya as well as Chanchal. Ananya hails from Assam and was earlier married to Koraput Collector Abdaal Akhtar. Chanchal too was married to Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh. However, their marriages did not work and Ananya and Chanchal got divorce from their respective spouses.
Instead of leading solitary lives, Ananya, who is a 2015 IAS officer from Gujarat cadre, and Chanchal, a 2014 batch IAS officer, decided to remarry. They are not only the Collectors of neighbouring districts of Odisha, but their mother tongues too are very close. In fact, Ananya is from Assam and Chanchal is an alumnus of NIT Silchar. He also secured the seventh rank at the all India level. A perfect match made by Cupid himself!
