Bhubaneswar: A key meeting between the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and Daitapati Nijoga was held at the SJTA office to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Rath Yatra. The meeting, chaired by Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, emphasized the importance of maintaining order and discipline during the festival.

Dr. Padhee announced that Rath Yatra will proceed as per the scheduled time and highlighted key guidelines to ensure a smooth procession. These include a strict ban on servitors using mobile phones while on the chariots and a prohibition on non-servitors climbing atop the chariots while they are being pulled. Even servitors’ assistants are not allowed to sit on the chariots.

The Chief Administrator warned that any non-servitor found climbing atop the chariot will face legal action. The Daitapati Nijoga assured the administration of full cooperation in adhering to these guidelines. The meeting also focused on making adequate arrangements for devotees, ensuring a safe and organized festival.

District Collector, President, and Secretary of Daitapati Nijoga, along with four Badagrahis and other senior temple officials, attended the meeting. With these measures in place, the stage is set for a successful and orderly Rath Yatra
