Digapahandi (Ganjam): A man drowned to death while saving his son from drowning in Ghodahada river at Talasinghi village under Digapahandi block in Ganjam district today.
The deceased identified as Arun Panda who was on a visit to his in-laws village Talasinghi had gone to Ghodahada river for a bath along with his 10-year-old son Alok in the afternoon.
According to reports, on seeing his son Alok drown , Arun dived into deep water to save his son.
While he was able to save his son, Arun got drowned.
Later Fire Service personnel fished out Arun’s body from the river.
