Kendrapada: Mystery shrouds the death of a Plus-II student who was found dead in a hostel owned by a private coaching centre in Kendrapada town late on Saturday.
His hostel mates first spotted the student, whose identity is yet to be revealed, lying unconscious in his room and rushed him to the Kendrapada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) where doctors declared him brought dead. The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased suspect foul play and filed a complaint at the Sadar police station against the authorities of the coaching centre. The family has raised doubts that the student might have been murdered.
The police have registered a case in this connection and are probing the tragic incident.
