Dense fog in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog engulfed many places in the coastal areas of the state, including the capital city of Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday reducing visibility to less than 20 feet. According to the MeT, the occurrence of fog is due to the influence of the western disturbances which has led to rain and thunderstorm in many places of the state during the last few days.

Vehicular movement was difficult due to the dense fog which reduced visibility making it difficult for drivers. On the other hand, it has been raining since the second week of March and the weather is likely to remain unchanged till April 1.

Traffic on the highway was scant due to the dense fog. Many private vehicles were off the road due to poor visibility. School children and vegetable vendors had a difficult time commuting due to the dense for.
