Koraput: Koraput Town police today arrested 15 persons in connection with group clashes between teenagers of Indira Colony, Paraja Sahi and Tikira Sahi on Sunday.
Five minors have also been taken into custody by the police in connection with the clashes.
“Clashes had taken place between some children of Paraja Sahi, Tikira Sahi and Indira Colony of Koraput town on April 2. Police have registered three cases in this connection. We have arrested and forwarded to court 15 persons for their involvement in the clash. Five minors have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Court,” informed Manoj Pujari, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Koraput briefing newspersons today.
Pujari said that axes, machetes, lathis, etc have been seized.
He said that most of those involved in the clashes are teenagers in the age group range of 15-20 years.
A few among them are adults, he added.
