Bhubaneswar: During her three-day visit to Odisha beginning on July 25, President Droupadi Murmu will attend a number of events, according to official sources here. On Monday, the state’s chief secretary, Pradeep Jena, hosted a high-level meeting at the Lok Seva Bhawan to discuss preparations for the President’s visit.
According to the President’s schedule, she is scheduled to arrive on July 25 and stay at the Raj Bhawan, where she will meet representatives of “Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups” (PVTGs). On July 26, the President will spend the entire day in Cuttack visiting the Chandi temple, which has been transformed into a national museum and is the birthplace of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Madhusudan Das.
She will also grace the 75th anniversary celebration of Orissa High Court, address the convocation of National Law University and attend the annual function of SCB medical college and hospital. Cuttack.
Murmu will lay the cornerstone for the Brahmakumari centre lighthouse complex in Dasbatia, close to Tamando, on July 27 in the morning. She will then go to Bhadrak to attend the diamond jubilee celebration of the Bhadrak Autonomous College before flying back to New Delhi.
She will be coming to Odisha for the third time since assuming the highest office of the nation.
The high level preparatory meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Nikunj Kishore Dhal, DGP Sunil Bansal, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi, Odisha Governor’s principal Secretary Saswat Mishra and Health Secretary Shalini Pandit.
Additionally, other senior officials talked about security plans and other precautions while she was staying at Raj Bhawan and visiting various locations.
