Bhubaneswar: SAI International School inducted its Student Council Members for the academic session 2023-24 in the Investiture Ceremony held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Indraprastha Auditorium of SAI International School.
Amitabh Thakur, Transport Commissioner, ADG-cum-IG of Prisons and Correctional Services graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. His august presence inspired the spirit of leadership among the students.
Chief Guest was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and led to the auditorium by the NCC Cadets.
The ceremony began with a soul-stirring rendition by the School Choir. Thakur delivered an inspiring keynote address emphasizing the values of integrity, discipline, and perseverance. He shared personal anecdotes, motivating the young leaders to strive for excellence and create a positive impact on society.
“I am thrilled to see enthusiastic & resplendent faces in this auditorium. The Student Council holds great significance for students in high school, as it nurtures leadership and discipline. The Investiture Ceremony included the badge pinning ceremony, where the appointed student leaders received their badges, symbolizing their roles and responsibilities. The Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Vice Captains, Sports Captain Cultural Secretary and council members took an oath to uphold the school’s values and contribute to the betterment of the student community.
SAIoneers Arush Sarma and Fiona Debasmita Alone were declared as the Head Boy and the Head Girl of SAI International School for the academic session 2023-24. All the council members took the oath of responsibility, diligence, and commitment towards their responsibilities.
Chairperson, SAI International School, Dr Silpi Sahoo while addressing the students said, “Running for the student council isn’t just joining a group; it’s embarking on an unparalleled journey to become assertive leaders driving positive change. Beyond school, this transformation shapes you for college, workplaces, and future entrepreneurship.”

The vote of thanks was delivered by Director Academics and Senior Principal Shri Nilkantha Panigrahi. The ceremonies concluded with the national anthem.
