Malkangiri: DIG of Police South Western Range (SWR), Koraput Charan Singh Meena Thursday inaugurated the new police station building of Papermetla under Swabhiman Anchal, Orkel police station under Balimela and District Intelligence & Operational Centre, Malkangiri.
Superintendent of Police Malkangiri Nitesh Wadhwani, local citizens, representatives and other officers were present during the inauguration, said an official press release.
This has filled up the gap of infrastructure deficit in a hinterland like Swabhiman Anchal and the overall district, the release said.
It is a befitting step to equip the Police force to prevent crime and preserve the safety and security of the people, the release stated.
It will also fulfil the mantra of the government’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ and will cater to the needs of the residents of the area with prompt, efficient and people-friendly policing.
