Bhubaneswar: Amidst incessant rain over the last two days, Odisha Fire Services personnel are doing a yeoman job in rescuing people affected by the downpour and subsequent floods in different areas of the state.
Fire Services personnel rescued two women, four men, and a one-month-old baby from the rooftop of a marooned house on the river bank of Badjor River in the Sohela area of Bargarh district on Wednesday.
In another incident, Baunsuni Fire Services personnel rescued eight construction workers trapped after their work site was marooned near Maneswar. The stranded workers were rescued and taken to safety by boat.
