Berhampur: The body of a youth was found hanging on Thursday in the premises of Sialia Upper Primary School under Kabisuryanagar police limits in Ganjam district.
The deceased youth has been identified as Rakesh Parida of Sialia village.
According to reports, the headmistress of Sialia Upper Primary School upon opening the school gate at around 10 AM noticed Rakesh hanging in the verandah. She immediately informed the School Committee and the police about the incident. As news spread, over a hundred villagers including the deceased’s family members gathered at the spot.
While Rakesh’s death remains a mystery, his father has alleged that his son has been murdered.
Police have seized the body and have launched an investigation into the matter.
