Bhubaneswar: Acting on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets (DA), Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday launched simultaneous house searches at the properties of Sudipta Dash, Excise Department ASI in Balugaon Circle of Odisha’s Khurdha district.
The simultaneous house searches are being conducted by the Odisha Vigilance team led by four DSPs, six Inspectors, and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at the following places:
- A residential house of Dash at Nayagarh.
- Another rented residential house of Dash at Nayagarh.
- Three residential houses rented by ASI Dash at Balugaon.
- ASI Dash’s office at Balugaon Excise Circle.
Vigilance sleuths unearthed two buildings, 6 plots, cash worth Rs 1.35 lakh, gold jewellery of approximately 300 gm along with other assets during simultaneous searches on properties linked to Dash. During house searches so far, Vigilance sleuths unearthed one double-storied building at Nayagarh Old Town, another double-storied building at Nayagarh Old Town, and 6 plots in and around Nayagarh town in the name of Dash and his family members.
The searches are in progress and a further report is awaited.
