Woman & 2-Yr-Old Daughter Die Of Snake Bite In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A woman and her two-year-old daughter died of snake bite in Keonjhar district on Saturday.

According to reports, Sukumini Munda and her two-year-old daughter of Rugudi Sahi of Murusuan village under Nayakot police limits of Keonjhar district had taken to bed after taking their dinner on Friday night.

While Sukumini and her daughter were sleeping, they were bitten by a venomous snake. Around wee hours today, the mother and child fell ill.

Within a few moments, the child died and Sukumini was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Banspal.

However, doctors at the CHC declared her dead. Nayakot police are investigating the matter.
