Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, senior Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra has resigned from his position as the BJD Parliamentary Party Leader in the Upper House.
Patra, who has been representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha, sent his resignation letter to BJD President and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He had been holding the key leadership role since July 2022, when he was elected to the Rajya Sabha for the second time.
