Bhubaneswar: Former MP of Kalahandi Arka Keshari Deo and his wife Malvika Deo joined the BJP at party’s State headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
The Kalahandi royal scion embraced the saffron front at a special event in the presence of party president Manmohan Samal, Kalahandi MP Basant Panda, and several other senior leaders.
Deo was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in 2014 from Kalahandi parliamentary constituency on BJD ticket.
The former MP had resigned from BJD in 2019 expressing displeasure over ticket allotment.
Tanmay Pratap Singhdeo of Madanpur Rampur royal family and Kumar Saheb’s daughter-in-law and ceramic artist Prithviraj Singhdeo’s wife Anita Devi have also joined the BJP.
