Sundargarh: One person was killed in a mud wall collapse due to torrential rains in Jarangloi village under Badgaon police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Kurunath Kanta.
According to reports, the victim was sleeping in his house on Monday night when the earthen wall of his house collapsed on him due to heavy rain. Kurunath was completely buried under the heap of mud and breathed his last.
On being informed by villagers, Badagaon police personnel reached the spot on Tuesday morning. The police rushed him to Badgaon Hospital where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’. The police have launched an investigation into this unnatural death.
