Bhubaneswar: The All Odisha Bus Owners’ Association (AOBOA) has called for an indefinite bus state-wide strike from October 10 to press for the fulfillment of their various demands.
The AOBOA general secretary Debendra Sahoo informed about the proposed strike in a meeting saying, “The strike will start from October 10 at 6 am and continue for an indefinite period till our demands are not fulfilled by the Odisha government.”
He further said, “All private buses, including school and college buses, will not operate during the strike.”
During the meeting, Sahoo also said that the government’s ‘Mo Bus’ and LAccMi (Location-Accessible Multimodal Initiative) will also be disrupted if the Odisha government fails to address their demands.
Meanwhile, the agitating private bus owners on Friday held a meeting with the CMO but refused to divulge the outcome of the meeting. Discussion between the Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association and CMO was ‘fruitful’, association secretary Debendra Sahu said.
