Keonjhar: Armed miscreants looted Ra 5 lakh cash at a petrol pump at gunpoint in the Phuljhar area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Wednesday late night.
According to reports, unidentified miscreants attacked the petrol pump and fired shots in the air to intimidate the customers and staff. The criminals damaged the CCTV cameras installed at the petrol station and broke open an iron chest to loot cash to the tune of Rs 5 lakh. The miscreants fled the spot after the heist.
On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident. On Thursday morning, Sadar SDPO reached the petrol pump with a scientific team.
Till the time of writing this report, no one was arrested in connection with the loot.
