Bhubaneswar: Acting on allegations of possession of disproportionate assets, Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday launched simultaneous house searches at premises linked to Arjun Kumar Sahoo, Assistant Engineer, Rural Works Sub-Division, Salipur in Odisha’s Cuttack district. The searches are being conducted by a Vigilance team led by eight DSPs, eight Inspectors, seven ASIs, and other staff on the strength of the search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at eight places in Khurdha (Bhubaneswar), Cuttack and Kendrapara districts.
The house searches are being conducted at the following locations:
- One three-storeyed building located at Khandagiri Vihar, Lane No. 2, plot No. 125/3056, Bhubaneswar.
- A double-storeyed building located at village Sadanandapur under Derabis Tahasil in Kendrapara district.
- The rented house of Sahoo at Balarampur in Kendrapada.
- The office room of Sahoo located at Rural Works Sub-Division, Salipur in Cuttack district.
- The government provided residential quarter located at Salipur in Cuttack.
- A house of Sahoo’s relative at Raipur in Kendrapara.
- A house of his close associate Kumar Behera at Badahat in Kendrapara.
- A rented house of another close associate of Sahoo near the District Agriculture office in Kendrapara.
The house searches are in progress and a detailed report is awaited.
