Paradip: Four people sleeping in a makeshift firecracker shop in Nuagada village of Odisha’s Paradip area had a narrow escape when a major fire broke out in the shop in the early hours of Sunday.
According to reports, the fire broke out at the shop at around 5.00 am and all the firecrackers started bursting at the same time, reducing the shop into ashes within a few minutes.
On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Meanwhile, firecrackers worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the fire.
The precise reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
