Bhubaneswar: Acting on the allegations of amassing disproportionate assets by Saroj Kanta Mohanty, Chief General Manager (P&A), IDCO, Bhubaneswar, Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday launched simultaneous house searches at the properties linked to Mohanty.
Vigilance sleuths unearthed two multi-storeyed buildings, two 3 BHK flats, 10 plots, 1 four-wheeler, along with other assets during searches.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flats/plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
The house searches are being conducted by 10 DSPs, 6 Inspectors, and other staff of Odisha Vigilance on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, at the following seven places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jajpur:
- One 3BHK Flat No. 103 in Amrita Alayam, Plot No. GA 437, Sailashree Vihar, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.
- One 3 BHK Flat No. 201, Tower No. 01, Metro Green Woods, Patapur, Baranga in Cuttack.
- Mohanty’s paternal house at Brambhabarada village under Dharmasala police limits in Jajpur district.
- One three-storeyed building at Mahanadi Vihar at Naya Bazaar in Cuttack.
- One two-storeyed residential house located at Jaraka village in Jajpur.
- One house of Mohanty’s relative located at N4/295, IRC Village, Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar.
- The office room of Mohanty located at IDCO Tower, P&A Department in Bhubaneswar.
The searches are still underway and a detailed report is awaited.
